home sweet home?

I made it home safe and sound. It was quite the experience getting home however, first my airling went out of business so then i had to get a entire new ticket. Well, I got on a plane Wednesday night..hawaii time, and met this very nice boy who talked to me the entire way home, at least it kept me from being sick. Well, he invited me to breakfast with him when we landed in Portland. We went to breakfast and then I went to catch my next fly and I got bumped, for two hours. Well, I got a two hundred dollar gift thing, and breakfast again but then I got bumped again. I waited at Portland for five hours. When I got to SLC it was a dissappointing sight to fly over the Salt Lake compared to the ocean, oh well. Mom and dad picked me up, told me to hurry and find a skirt and that we were going to the temple. It was the perfect first activity for being home. I was tired and beat, but I did go to the temple. the surprise for mom was I learned how to play the Ukulele while in Hawaii, I will record myself playing it and post it for everyone to see. Love you all!

Also, I fell a lot on the hike and we hiked in slippers/barefoot. I broke my slipper

Last night in Hawaii

Well, my last night here has apporached so quickly. I've gotten really tired of saying goodbye so I'm almost to the point that I just want to come home so that I would quite haveing to say goodbye. It kind of stinks to get to that point, but that's where i am. So, for my last official free day slash night, here in Hawaii we went Kayaking. We kayaked out to china man's hat and then hiked up the top. We forgot a camera so we had to row back in and then back out and then up again so that we could take pictures of the beautiful view. The Camera doesn't even do it justice. After kayaking we went to the temple for the last time and it was really neat because we got to do family names for a Hawaiian and so I got to be baptized and confirmed for some Hawaiian sisters right at the font. It was a really special experience. Then, we came home and watched a chick flick and had chocolate cake and strawberries. It was awesome. I've loved this night and day very much. It truly was the most relaxing wonderful day! Ah! I can't believe that tomorrow is my last day!!! YIKES! ps. We also showered all together to save time after kayaking trying to get to the temple on time!

Finals!

Hello everyone! finals week is going well. I'm happy that it is almost over. i actually only have one more to go. I feel like I've done really well on them. The one that I got an imediate score to i recieved a 92% so that is really good. I'm loving life here in Hawaii, but time is running short. I will be home in less than a week. I've lived every minute, and I wouldn't take any of it back. I'm writing a poem about all the things I learned in Hawaii and how it has changed my life, once it's done I'll blog it. I have a huge surprise for my mom, but I can't say what it is. Once she knows I'll blog about it, but it's killing me to keep this secret from her. I'm ready to be home in the sence that I'm ready to hug my parents, and rub my bare feet on the carpet, and sleep in my big comfortable bed and have my own bathroom, and clean dishes. But, I will miss my roommates, the 3 minute walks to the beach, the afternoon naps, and the exceptance that a person feels here. You feel so loved not matter who you are, or what you look like, or what country you're from. That is probably the biggest lesson I've learned while here in Hawaii. That you can love and care for those who are entirley different then you, when your only common ground is the church, or even sometimes just the school you go to. Yet, you can laugh, love, and learn together. BYU-H is a special place where people that attended here are among the elect to help change and better the world, we will make a difference after attending such a school as this, and you realize how small the world has become. I do have friends in high and low places now, all through out the world and I couldn't ask for a better blessing than that in my life now. I'm truly a blessed person and it feels as though God as spoiled me rotten, but in the end all he wants is for us to find happiness, and as long as we listen to his promptings obey his commandments, acknowledge his hand in all things, and follow faithful and restlessly in his ways, then he will lead us to the things that will make us most happy. For that, I am forever grateful, and for just this experience alone...meaning my time in Hawaii, I owe my life and happiness to my Father in Heaven for the great blessings he so freely poors upon me. Hawaii isn't the end, it's just the beginning to a great life ahead, a life that where one door closes another seems to quickly burst open. I will only be home for a short time when the Lord will bless me with another great experience, that is to be in the Holy Land and see for myself all that there is to discover.

A night of princesses

Well, I'm happy to report that winter ball was a great success. It was almost like a dream. I was in this great dress, in Hawaii, on a cruise ship, with a great date, just floating around in the ocean. Who could ask for more? It was so wonderful. I loved it! We started off the night by all of us getting ready together. Then the boys came over and brought pizza and we provided the soda pop, what a great way to start the evening off right? well, I didn't get in my dress to eat because I didn't want to spill on it, but then I went and changed as we were getting ready to leave and as I came out of my room Ben's face just lit up with excitment! It was awesome! We left for the dance and upon arriving in Honolulu we checked in and walked on the boat. It was awesome! I know I keep saying that, but it's the truth! Ben was a GREAT dancer and we just danced for hours, I was pretty tired when it was over but it was so much fun. The top of the boat you could just go up there and see the stars and look at the lights. It was beautiful! The entire night was so much fun. I loved it so much and Ben was such a great date. My roommate also got engaged that evening so that has been exciting. My other roommate told her boyfriend that she loved him. It was a very eventful evening. That's the story of the winter ball. It was a wonderful evening and I'm so glad I got to go. Pictures are worth a thousand words, so just look at them and you'll know more! :)
